5 Basic Steps Towards Financial Stability
Many want financial stability but don't have a clear path on where to start and have no realistic plan on how to get there. What if I told you that the steps towards financial stability are very simple. But don't get me wrong just because the steps are simple doesn't mean the process towards completing the steps won't be challenging. But if you have a clear guide towards becoming financially stable, even with a few challenges it's possible to get there.
Most people find themselves all over the place when it comes to money. Some don't know if their coming or going when it comes to expense and don't know where to start. So, I'm sharing the simple steps towards financial stability to help you get started on your path to financially peace.
Budgeting
No matter where you are financially a budget will always bring you back to your starting point toward financial success. A budget it your road map toward paying off debt and monthly expenses, keeping track of income, and finding ways to save, spend, and allocate your finances. Your budget helps you see where you are financially and create a plan for where you want to be.
For example, if your budget shows you that you are bringing in more expenses than income you would then know that you need to find ways to earn more income or cut back on expenses. If your budget shows that your income exceeds expenses that helps you determine how much money you can afford to save each month and how much you can afford to spend without cutting into expenses. Not matter where you are financially as long as you have income your budget will be your starting point toward financial stability
.
Prioritizing
Prioritizing is taking care of the things that matter most first. Keeping your financial prioritizes in order make things a little less stressful when keeping up with expenses during challenging times. it's only when our priorities are out of order that it becomes challenging to create stability in our finances but you must first know your budget to find what your priorities are and once you know them you should do your best to take care of them from what is top priority down to the least priority.
Pay off debt:
You will have more financial success and more room for financial freedom when you pay off debt. This part is crucial to being financially successful. Paying off debt doesn't always happen overnight and you must be patient with yourself during this step but be sure to come up with a realistic and consistent plan for paying off debt so that you can be financial free and stable.
Save
Rainy days will happen so saving for a rainy day is always wise but as I always say be sure that your savings plan is realistic, even if it's just saving $5 a month. Discipline with little can lead to more later.
Spend
We are human and spending inevitable, it's okay to spend and it's okay to spend more than you save but you must also have a plan for your spending. Having a plan for how much you spend and sticking to a spending budget can help you go a long way when working to complete the previous steps.
It's Possible!
Completing the process may seem challenging at times but it's definitely possible. Having a road map helps you get back on track when you lose track. Whenever I go through financial challenges, I always go back to my budget and work my way back towards the top. As I complete step one, I then focus on completing step 2, and so forth until I have completed the process. The process doesn't get completed overnight, it can take time but if you stick to the process and don't give up you will be sure to achieve the stability you desire.
